Hello and welcome to Tails & Trails, dog-walking service!
Tails & Trails has been an idea and dream I have had for a long time. I have always had a special place in my heart for dogs and love being surrounded by them. It was always my hope to be able to work with dogs and give them the right care and love. After having worked in the corporate world for the last 7 years in different roles, I decided to finally take the step to make Tails & Trails a reality.
I am 30 years old and originally from Denmark. I live in the Hague together with my husband and our dog Murphy. I have lived in the Hague for most of my life and I call it my home. The Hague for me is truly an ideal spot for dogs, with access to the beach and lots of beautiful parks & forests for the dogs to explore.
I am certified in First-Aid for dogs and currently enrolled in an education on dog behavior. I am continuously spending my time reading and learning about dogs in order to better understand them. I am a strong believer in staying up to date on research in the area of animal behavior to be able to be responsive to each dog's individual needs and to get the most out of the group walks. Understanding the dog's needs provides them with more than just a walk. It means that each dog's experience will be enriched, creating a harmonious group pack dynamic.
My education (MSc) is in sustainability, which is also important for me in this area of work. I ensure to research where I buy my materials, dog treats, and equipment and to minimize my footprint as best as I can.
